Rodney Stark, 75

Not only did Rodney finally see a helicopter for the first time up close, he got to fly in one!

70 years ago Rodney saw a helicopter for the first time. He looked at it with so much wonder in his eyes; “a big dragonfly” that he could only dream of seeing up close one day. Having gone through severe chronic pain since 1989 and surviving a few heart attacks, Rodney never waivered in helping anyone who needed a hand, raising his family where he now holds the title of great-grandfather, and dreaming that one day he would get to ride in a helicopter🚁 Not only did Rodney get to ride in the helicopter alongside his wife Leta, but he had the opportunity to ask about the mechanics of the helicopter and have all of the questions he was curious about over the years answered, stating “never stop learning”.
