Paul Dent

Not only did Paul get up close to a helicopter one more time, he was given the gift of flight again!

At the young age of 5 years old, Paul watched the planes take off and land at the airport knowing full well that one day he would become a pilot. It was the ultimate dream job for Paul, one that would lead him to serve in the Canadian Air Force for 27 years before being forced to retire due to a stroke. Having not been in a helicopter for almost two decades, Paul wanted nothing more than to be up close to a helicopter one more time and have the opportunity to talk to the pilot about the aircraft that brought him so much joy. Not only did Paul have the opportunity to have his wish fulfilled, he was honored for his years of service by Captain Matthew Barkhouse of the Canadian Armed Forces Department of National Defence , and was given the gift of flight again from our friends at Vision Air Services Inc.
