Thank you to everyone for supporting our Holiday Happiness Campaign. Because of you, 800 of our holiday cards have touched the hearts of 800 seniors this holiday, 2021. Did you miss out on our Holiday Happinesses Card Campaign? Our annual campaign will be back November 2022.
In honour of National Seniors Day and Treaty Day on October 2021, WAY, partnered with RBC, and RBC employees to create the “The Butterfly Effect”. A concept that was created to encourage more conversation to be had amongst generations, and, in turn, more wisdom to be shared. Going back to our core mission to help change the way society views and values our oldest generation. We look forward to doing this again in 2022!
This innovative approach that we took during the COVID-19 pandemic is an example of a “small act of kindness” that others can adopt and carry out for a senior in their life. As a result of this campaign, we delivered nearly 4,000 care packages overall, and generated countless testimonials that indicated the package had a profound impact on seniors mental wellbeing. Although our "Little Wishes" have taken on new shapes, we feel it's important to continue to sharing the story of how our "Little Wishes" turned into more than we ever though possible.
