Brenda (center) is 72 years young and is the oldest of two sisters. Both of Brenda’s sisters have lived far enough away from her that time spent together over the years has been few and far between. With all sisters spread throughout the province of Nova Scotia, and never being able to experience a trip together, Brenda’s wish has always been to have the three of them reconnect for a weekend away together. This has been a dream of hers for a very long time, and it was everything she could have hoped for.

Being ‘a true Cape Bretoner’, Brenda has always had a love for Celtic music, the Cape Breton Highlands, and the breath-taking colours of fall. Taking a getaway with her sisters to experience the excitement of the Celtic Colours Festival was the perfect way to spend time together and take in all that Cape Breton has to offer. It brought her so much joy getting to experience all of her favorite things alongside her sisters whom she loves dearly.
